Wyndam, why don't you tell us how you really feel? But it's ok, I suppose you can save face and pretend for this one. Go Sox!

Cool story. Sox still suck.

How is the author "saving face"? He admits his biases but recognizes Lester's story. You sound like a partisan prick.

Thanks. We needed that. To think that Big Jon Lester and Jacoby Ellsbury, whose catch kept it a no hitter, were part of a trade package for J. Santana, one that ultimately cost the Mets $150M and a generation of prospects. Clearly, Sox fans won by hanging on to them; and not just for their play, but because of their strong, post-steroid-era characters, which will positively influence a new generation of players, fans and management. Many athletes have fought cancer and had great careers. Ironically, the Sox have survivors Lowell and Lester, and Rizzo, a newly diagnosed hot prospect for whom this No No must give a lot of hope right now. We can hope to see Lowell, Lester and Rizzo on the field at Fenway, in the same game, a couple of years from now.
