Unless there is something structurally wrong with the business school buildings, it seems a waste of resources to replace the buildings so that they are in alignment with the Olmsted Plan. Aren't there better things Stanford could be spending money on?

I agree with the class of 0h-ninety. It seems like a waste. I looked up a diagram of the Olmsted Plan on the university website and compared it with the current campus map, and frankly I like it better as is.
A question I'd like to ask David Lennox: what is the function of the east-west axis? What are the advantages of this simplistic plan? It seems that in its fullness, this layout might even hinder flow and communication between segments of the University, exacerbating the "insular village" problem. Creating a corridor often alienates one end of the hall from the other.
Why change things?
