Wrong. Unfortunately Celia's food is actually among the greasiest and most poorly crafted. The dishes are standard Mexican fare, but uninspired. The guacamole was about the only redeeming item I sampled. The beef burrito was bland, the chicken equally tasteless. At least it was cheap.
The food isn't the most exciting Mexican fare, but it's not the worst. It is very fatty, though, and heavier than the Mexican food I'm used to.
This place is just not that great. All of your restaurant reviews are so positive, I feel maybe some honest criticism or review would help the paper. Not every restaurant around here is THAT good.
Is the Daily not allowed to give a bad restaurant review? The food at Celia's is good, and the atmosphere anything but "classy". If you want a fatty, 2,000 calorie meal of a flour tortilla, beef and bland rice combined in a number of different ways with re-friend beans slopped on the side then maybe you will like Celia's. I'm not sure where you got the word "classy". For a much better option try Fiesta Del Mar Too in Downtown Mountain View. The food there is much more interesting, the atmosphere is fun, you get a choice of beans, and the margaritas are excellent (not from an overly-sweet mix like I'm guessing Celia's are).
