This report covers a selection of crimes reported from July 29 to August 1 as recorded in the Stanford Police Department Public Bulletin.

July 23

A bike was stolen from Tresidder Union between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

July 27

At 1:46 a.m., a reporting party received a threatening email from another person.

July 28

At 1:00 p.m., a non-injury vehicle-versus-vehicle collision occurred at the Bing Nursery School.

Between 12 a.m. on July 14 and 12 p.m. on July 28, a person at Redwood Hall received a package from someone she has never met.

A bike was stolen from the Mechanical Engineering building between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

In the latest in a string of copper burglaries, pieces of vertical rain gutter were taken from Old Union during the day, as the thieves scramble to complete their campus landmarks collection by the end of the quarter.

At 3:25 p.m., a person was cited and released for driving with a suspended license at the intersection of Palm Dr. and Arboretum Rd.

July 29

Between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., a person was terminated from summer employment at EPGY and issued a stay-away letter prohibiting him from returning to the University.

A victim reported that his Stanford I.D. had been stolen between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Green Library. On Aug. 1, the victim reported that he had found his I.D.; however, the officers’ time was not recovered.

At 11:59 p.m., a non-injury, hit-and-run collision occurred at Parking Structure 1.

Between 12 a.m. on July 28 and 10 a.m. on July 29, an unknown and competent suspect entered an unsecured lab at the School of Engineering Center and made off with carefully selected precious metals.

July 30

Two bikes were reported stolen, one from the Graduate School of Business between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and another from the Ford Center Plaza between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

July 31

At 10:58 p.m. at the Old Chemistry building, three arrestees were detained. Two were cited and released for trespassing and possession of burglary tools, while the third was only cited for trespassing, which is why it pays to be a lookout.

At 7:54 p.m., two suspects used a counterfeit 100 dollar bill to purchase food at the Treehouse.

Bikes were stolen between 8 p.m. on July 30 and 11 a.m. on July 31.
