A pair of Cardinal field hockey players will be representing their respective countries in upcoming international competition as rising sophomores Camille Gandhi and Xanthe Travlos were picked to play for the United States and English Under-21 teams, respectively.

Gandhi, a native of London, England, holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and will represent the United States at the Junior Pan American Games in October. The 2007 NorPac Rookie of the Year for the Cardinal, Gandhi scored six goals and notched five assists in her freshman season on the Farm.

Travlos, meanwhile, will play for her native England in the much nearer future, starting on July 20 at the EuroHockey Junior Nations Championships. She too was outstanding in her first season with the Cardinal, racking up nine goals and five assists to earn NFHCA First-Team West-Regional All-American honors. With her English teammates, Travlos will travel to San Sebastian, Spain to take on their Group B rivals — Italy, Belarus and Lithuania.
