This report covers a selection of crimes from July 9 to July 16, as recorded in the Stanford Police Department Public Bulletin.
Wednesday, July 11
- An unknown suspect or suspects shattered the right front window of the victim's vehicle near Stanford Hospital and stole the GPS unit and a briefcase from the passenger seat.
Thursday, July 12
- A driver backed into a parked vehicle in the Stockfarm parking lot. Minor damage was caused to both vehicles.
- The reporting person turned in several radio control units and a digital camera he found abandoned on the rim of Lake Lagunita at the boathouse lot. At approximately 4 p.m., the owner's name was found on the equipment. The owner came to SUDPS and picked up his equipment.
Friday, July 13
- At the Psychiatry Academic and Clinic Building on Quarry Road, the reporting person lost her wallet while at an appointment. She does not think the wallet was stolen, but was unable to locate it.
- A violator was cited and released for a violation of Santa Clara ordinance A33-170 — dog not properly leashed — near Galvez Grove at Lasuen Mall.
- A report was issued stating that over a one-year period, a walkway lighting pole and fixture was taken from the east side of Parking Structure 1.
- An unknown suspect or suspects removed a screen and pried open a window gaining access to the University Communications building on Arguello Way. The suspect searched several offices and stole several items, including a digital camera.
- A woman attended a party in Menlo Park. She left her pursue on the kitchen table. When she returned, her purse was gone. She found her pursue in the restroom, but her wallet was missing.
Saturday, July 14
- An unknown suspect or suspects entered the victim's locked, parked vehicle near Chi Theta Chi by tampering with the electronic locks, and stole items from the right front foot well.
- At approximately 1:30 p.m., Stanford Stadium staff removed two bikes from a barricade blocking access to Gate 2. The reporting person's daughter owns one of the bikes. The bikes were released to their owners.
- At Stanford Stadium, arrestee threw fireworks hitting a victim in the right temple. Arrestees and were booked for assault on a peace officer and transported to the main jail.
- Two victims were struck in the face by two separate suspects during a soccer game at the Stanford Stadium. Both victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects left without being identified.
