Thirteen members of Congress call Stanford their Alma Mater. From California to Illinois, there are eight representatives and five senators. Most are Democrats. All have interesting stories and are motivated by a noble call for public service. The Daily profiled each member. Some were effusive with their time and graciously offered interviews while others declined to be interviewed, citing time constraints and campaigning ahead of Tuesday’s election. Some came here as impressionable undergraduates, others as hardened law, business or engineering students. All have made the transition, from The Farm to The Hill.
