Class of 2012 has highest yield rate ever

72 percent of ProFros accept admission

NEWS| 1,727 students have accepted Stanford’s offer of admission to the Class of 2012, placing the yield rate for this admission cycle at a University record high of 72 percent, the Office of Undergraduate Admission told The Daily yesterday. These numbers are likely to change, however, because many of Stanford’s peer institutions have recently announced they will be accepting waitlisted applicants.

Emergency alert system tested on students

Animal research bill offers shield

NEWS| California State Assemblyman Gene Mullin has recently proposed a bill that would make posting the names of academics who conduct animal research online illegal. The bill would help ensure personal safety for animal researchers from animal activist groups.
