The newest Stanford doubles pair turned out to be the most successful Cardinal team this past weekend at the Pacific Coast Doubles tournament, held in La Jolla, Calif. Assistant coach Dave Hodge paired up with sophomore Blake Muller to notch five wins in the open tournament before falling in the championship match in three close sets.

Senior Anne Yelsey was able to communicate the results of this past weekend’s matches against No. 18 Pepperdine and No. 7 California in rather simple terms.
“I thought it was complete domination,” she said.
Card bounces back

The No. 5 Stanford men’s gymnastics team earned a weekend split, falling to No. 1 Michigan on Friday but rallying to defeat No. 10 Nebraska on Sunday. Entering the weekend undermanned due to injuries (junior co-captain David Sender was also absent due to personal circumstances), the Cardinal could not upend Michigan.

Dumais heading to NCAAs

The Stanford men’s diving team began its quest to qualify for the NCAA Championships this past Thursday at the NCAA Zone E Regionals in Oklahoma City, Okla. After three days of competition, sophomore diver Dwight Dumais was selected to represent Stanford at the NCAA Championships, Mar. 15-17 in Minneapolis, Minn.
