NEWS| As word of 23-year old Mengyao “May” Zhou’s death trickled out, the graduate community registered shock and sadness, and many expressed surprise at the apparent suicide of the second-year doctoral student in electrical engineering.

Endowment grows by $1.8 billion

NEWS| Stanford’s endowment surged in value by 15.4 percent, or $1.8 billion, last year. The growth solidified Stanford’s position as the university with the third largest endowment, with $14.1 billion, behind only Harvard and Yale.
