New probation policy is helpful

The Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC) recently announced a change in its academic probation policy. Students are now required to meet regularly with an advisor as soon as they are placed on probation; previously, students were not assigned to one of the center’s advisors until they were placed on provisional registration, which is a more severe academic punishment.
